Buddyly is not a substitute for public authorities, law enforcement, emergency services, veterinary professionals, animal shelters, rescue organisations or other professional services.
3. Age and Legal Capacity

- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have sufficient legal capacity to accept these Terms.
- Provide reasonably accurate and up-to-date information.

- Keeping your credentials and access methods secure.
- Not giving unauthorised persons access to your account.
- Keeping relevant information up to date.
- Informing us of unauthorised access or use when you become aware of it.
- Actions performed through your account unless they result from an incident attributable to Buddyly.
We may take action regarding an account where there are reasonable grounds relating to fraud, security, breach of these Terms, illegal content, or the protection of other users or third parties.
5. Pet Profiles and User Representation
Buddyly is designed so that pets may act as the visible identity or main character of the social profile. However, the account and legal obligations belong to the individual or entity controlling the account.
One person may manage multiple pet profiles where the feature allows it.
By creating or managing a pet profile, you represent that:
- You have a legitimate relationship with the pet or sufficient authorisation to manage the profile.
- The information is reasonably accurate.
- You have the right to use the photographs and other content you publish.
- You are not using the profile to impersonate another person, organisation or pet guardian.
6. Lost Pets, Found Pets and Sightings
When publishing a report or sighting, you agree to:
- Provide information in good faith and with reasonable accuracy.
- Not create false or malicious reports or reports intended to harm third parties.
- Have the right to publish the photographs and information submitted.
- Avoid unnecessary third-party personal data.
- Avoid exact home addresses or other sensitive information unless strictly necessary and you have the right to publish it.
- Update, close or mark a case as resolved where appropriate and where the feature is available.
Buddyly may display locations approximately or reduce their precision for privacy and security reasons.
If a situation involves danger, animal abuse, criminal activity or an emergency, contact the competent authorities or professional services.
7. User-Generated Content
You retain any rights you hold in content you publish.
By uploading or publishing content on Buddyly, you grant us, for as long as necessary to provide the service and subject to applicable law, a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, sublicensable to our technical providers only to the extent necessary, to host, store, technically reproduce, reformat, display, transmit and distribute that content within Buddyly and to operate, protect and promote the Buddyly features in which you chose to make it visible.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Buddyly.
When you delete content or your account, we will stop using it for new purposes based on this licence, except where:
- Retention is required by law or to defend legal rights.
- It is necessary to investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents.
- The content has been irreversibly anonymised.
- Temporary or backup copies remain subject to reasonable deletion cycles.
- Limited retention is necessary to preserve the integrity of interactions with other users, where legally permitted.
You are responsible for having all necessary rights and permissions for the content you publish.

9. Moderation, Reports and Illegal Content
Buddyly may provide mechanisms for reporting content, profiles or conduct.
You may also report content that you believe is illegal or breaches these Terms through the reporting tools available in Buddyly or by contacting [email protected] with enough information to identify the content and explain the reason for the report.
Where necessary and proportionate, Buddyly may:
- Reduce content visibility.
- Remove or disable access to content.
- Restrict certain features.
- Temporarily suspend an account.
- Terminate an account.
- Block interactions.

- Disclose information to authorities where there is a valid legal obligation or legal basis.
Where required by applicable law, we will inform the affected user of a moderation decision and the reasons for it, unless prohibited by law or prevented by a valid security reason.
Moderation decisions may be based on user reports, technical controls, automated rules and/or human review. Buddyly aims not to impose restrictive decisions arbitrarily.
Where applicable law provides a right to complain or appeal against a moderation decision, Buddyly will provide an appropriate mechanism to exercise that right.
10. Misuse of Reporting Systems
You must not repeatedly submit manifestly unfounded reports or complaints or use reporting systems to harass or harm other users.
Likewise, you must not repeatedly publish manifestly illegal content.
Buddyly may issue a warning and, where proportionate and legally permitted, temporarily restrict the use of certain features in response to repeated misuse, taking into account the seriousness, frequency, proportion and circumstances of the conduct.
11. Social Features and Communications
If Buddyly enables comments, messaging, reactions, contact features or other social functionality, they must be used lawfully and respectfully.
They may not be used for spam, harassment, threats, fraud, unauthorised advertising, malicious links, improper collection of personal data or any other conduct prohibited by these Terms.

Buddyly may display information about veterinary clinics, businesses, shelters, carers, groomers, parks, pet-friendly establishments, sponsors or other services.
Unless expressly stated, the appearance of a third party on Buddyly does not amount to a guarantee, certification or professional endorsement.
Buddyly does not guarantee:
- Availability.
- Opening hours.
- Prices.
- Quality.
- Licences or regulatory status.
- Permanent accuracy of information.
- The outcome of services contracted directly with third parties.
Any contract or relationship with a third party is between the user and that third party.
Sponsored or advertising content, where present, will be identified in a reasonably clear manner in accordance with applicable law.
14. In-App Purchases and Contributions
Buddyly may offer purchases, voluntary contributions or paid digital features.
Transactions may be processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play and technical providers such as RevenueCat. Payment terms, cancellation and refunds may be subject to the rules of the relevant store and mandatory applicable law.
Buddyly does not store your full payment card details.
A voluntary contribution to Buddyly does not give you equity, a financial product, an investment or any ownership right in Buddyly.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights of refund, withdrawal or guarantee under applicable law or mandatory store rules.
15. Campaigns, QR Codes and Attribution
Buddyly may use first-party QR codes and links for campaigns involving veterinary clinics, shelters, events, sponsors or social media.
A QR code may dynamically redirect to an app store, web page or another Buddyly destination depending on the platform or the evolution of the service.
Buddyly may measure link openings, campaign source and conversions in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Use of a QR code does not guarantee the permanent availability of a particular campaign, promotion, sponsor or item of content, although Buddyly aims to keep its permanent links operational.
16. Buddyly Intellectual Property
Buddyly, including its name, brand, logo, design, software, code, interfaces, original text, graphics and original service elements, is owned by MARTIN PINO ARCE or used under the relevant licences.
Except where permitted by law or expressly authorised, you may not copy, sell, sublicense, distribute, commercially exploit, decompile or reverse engineer Buddyly.
This does not limit mandatory legal rights or licences applicable to third-party software components.

Where a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice before or when it takes effect where required by law.
